Recently my 8 year old daughter pointed out that when I ask her to focus on her Salaat, she is unable to due to the fact that she doesn’t understand the meaning of what she is reciting. So, together as a family, we decided to take a step towards fixing this problem. Since Surah Fatiha is the most frequently recited part of Salaat, we decided it would be best to start there.
I have invested in the mini-tafseer series for short surahs from Juz Amma para as well as Surah Fatiha.
To order this book or the entire series, please click on the book image to be directed to their site. The entire series can also be purchased through www.noorart.com
I also created a word-to-word flashcard translation of the entire surah. The children are able to access these materials and work on them as frequently as they feel necessary. I have included these materials as part of our Homeschool-Islamic School curriculum (I will inshallah discuss more on our activites of the homeschool-Islamic school in future posts) and inshallah I intend to create these flashcards for all future surahs that we will study (stay posted).

To download the file- complete the subscription form at the bottom of the page. I printed this on colored printer paper. All you have to do is print (the first 19 pages of the file), cut, fold, laminate and whoala! The remaining pages of the downloadable pdf contains the answer sheet. Follow the instructions below to cut and fold the flash cards. Laminating the cards will make them quite durable but you can make them even more sturdy by printing on cardstock instead of printer paper.
Cutting & Folding Instructions:

Cut where the lines are black and fold along the red. The attached document does NOT print with the red lines so please use the image below for guidance.
