Quran Activities for Kids

Ramadan Mubarak! Ramadan is here. The most anticipated month of the Islamic calendar. Alhamdulillah for another opportunity to reap the benefits of this blessed month.

Ramadan, this year, will be unlike any other we’ve experienced. There will be no taraweeh at the masjid and no gatherings to break fast. A Ramadan in quarantine sounds different, but not necessarily difficult. Alhamdulillah for all that we do have this Ramadan. In addition, we have a few extra hours to dedicate to our Ibadah.

This year, while most of us enjoy taraweeh prayers while quarantine in our homes, I am initiating a much awaited & overdue project…. 30 days of Quran Activities for Kids.

I’ve spent the last couple years waiting for someone to create this. I bought every Ramadan activity book and Quran workbook in hopes that it would be what I had imagined in my mind, only to find out, it wasn’t.

So, this year in Ramadan, I’ve decided to stop waiting and start creating.

30 Days of Quran Activities for kids

Every day this month I will share with you all as I share with my kids Quran Activities for each Juz, and each Surah. This is a work in progress and I will be working as the month progresses. I intend to post daily for the next month, an activity or a set of activities which you can do with your kids. Each day’s activity will be based on a Juz. The details of the activity and any printable associated with it will be available FREE on my blog. As the links for each Juz become active, it will appear on this page. So, please bookmark the page for easy access to ALL available Quran activities.

Like I said before, this is a work in progress so I’ll need your help. If you like the concept, please share this post so others can benefit & both you & I can increase our thawab. Your feedback and participation is extremely valuable to me and will help me perfect this for future use. So please turn on your notifications and join me daily. The activities will be suitable for a wide range of kids so inshallah all of our children should be able to benefit. I look forward to interacting with you all this month & learning from the Quran & each other.

Jazak Allah Khair 🤲🏻 please make Dua for me that Allah keep my intentions pure and give me success in this endeavor.

How to Use these Activities

The Quran Activities for kids is designed to be able to meet the needs of a wide range of ages. There will be one or more activity for each surah. Some of the activities will contain modifications, variations or extensions to accommodate younger or older kids.

Start by first listening to or reciting the Surah. Then, pick an activity or two to complete with your kids. Please do NOT attempt to complete ALL of the activities as it may overwhelm the children. These activities are designed to be completed with adult guidance. They are NOT meant to be busy work for the kids to complete independently.

If you enjoy the concept, and activities that I’ve shared, please don’t forget to share this post. It will help me to grow and produce more content like this inshallah.

Disclaimer

I am not a scholar. I am just a mother trying her best to help her children develop a healthy relationship with the Quran. As our scholars so beautifully put it, ALL goodness comes from Allah, and any mistakes are from me. I am always willing to accept my mistake and if you kindly point it out, I will be happy to correct it inshallah. Let’s help each other in this project. If you have an idea for an activity, please share it in the comments below so that others may also benefit from it. If it requires a printable, inshallah I will try my best to prepare it.
