Before you dive into the actual activities for each surah, spend some time reciting the surah together. In this case, recite ayah 92-200 of Surah Al-E-Imran and first 23 ayahs of Surah Nisa. If this is not possible, listen to the surah on a digital device. Since we will be recreating our masjid experience, we be listening to Mishari Rashid on our Quran explorer App.
If there are multiple Surahs in the Juz, you may choose to listen to one surah and complete the coordinating activities before moving on to the next surah. Alternatively, you may choose to listen to the entire Juz and then complete the activities for all the surahs in that Juz.
For the full guide to how best use these Juz specific activities, please check out the main page of the Quran Activities for kids.
Surah Al-E-Imran
Ayah 96-The first house set up for worship is surely the one in Makkah having blessings and guidance for all the worlds. Ayah 97-In it there are clear signs: The Station of Ibrahim! Whoever enters it is secure. As a right of Allah, it is obligatory on the people to perform Hajj of the House- on everyone who has the ability to manage (his) way to it. If one disbelieves, then Allah is independent of all the worlds.
Kaabah Activities
In these ayahs we learn about Hajj, the Kaaba being the first house of worship and Maqam-e-Ibrahim. This is not the first mention of the Kaabah. In fact, in Juz 1 we were already introduced to Ibrahim (A) and the Kaabah. This ayah is different in that it mentions Hajj as an obligatory act of worship for those who are able to. If you did not get to work on a Kaabah craft or activity, please check out my Pinterest Board: Kaabah Activities for ideas, but do NOT limit yourself to just those. This is a great opportunity to talk about the different parts of Hajj, and specifically tawaf. Talk about the Kaabah and how Allah instruction Ibrahim (A) to build the Kaabah with his son Ismail (A). If you did a Kaabah activity in Juz 1, build on the knowledge the kids already have. Bring the craft that they have completed back out so that you can use it to describe where the Station of Ibrahim is located, or how tawaf is completed.
Clay Footprint Keepsake
A great activity that doubles as a keepsake is a clay footprint of the children. You can use air dry Clay or oven baked clay to imprint the child’s footprint. As you complete this activity, use this as a conversational starter to talk about the footprint of Ibrahim (A) as he built the Kaabah with his son. I plan to imprint all 5 of my children’s footprint on the same block of clay and keep it as part of my home decor. I used the crayola air dry in white, the 2.5 lb container is more than enough.
Variation:
This activity can be done using paint to imprint a footprint on paper, or even just to draw A variation of this activity would be a footprint or trace the footprint with a pencil, pen or marker. Somehow though, putting my feet on paper doesn’t seem right. I think it has to do with my Pakistani mother’s constant reminder of not putting my feet on things we use to attain ilm.
Battle of Badr Worksheet
Ayahs 123-125 of Surah Al-E-Imran are about the Battle of Badr in which Allah (SWT) sent angels to fight alongside the Muslims. The first page of the worksheet, which you can download HERE, is for the younger children. Its an angel wing coloring activity. The children can add jewels or glitter to decorate their angel wings.

The second page is more for the older children who have the capacity to research and find answers. If your child wants to complete both pages, hold on to page 1 until they’ve completed page 2. The first page of the activity answers some of the questions that they would have otherwise had to research.
My Forgiveness Flower
In Surah Al-E-Imran ayahs 133-134 Allah tells us that forgiveness is a trait of the mohsineen. So, this next activity focuses on asking for forgives and forgiving those who have hurt us. It’s a simple activity in which the kids are asked to write down the act that they are asking for forgives for and the act which has hurt them. For younger children, this may be too complex of a concept, in which case, just have the child make Dua for those they love and color in the flowers. For older children, this will inshallah help them to build a very important skill of forgiving. Download the My Forgiveness Flower worksheet HERE. Print extra sheets if children feel they need more.
Dua Memorization
As always, I would like to suggest Ayah 194 of Surah Al-E-Imran for memorization. Its a beautiful dua.
Surah Nisa
The Islamic Inheritance Law
This activity is for all the math loving students. I’ve got one of those, so I try to incorporate math whenever and wherever possible. Surah Nisa has two ayahs which Allah gives some of the guidelines for distributing inheritance. Download the activity worksheet HERE. Because this activity is for children, I’ve kept it really simple. If an older child wants to challenge himself, you may add a living parent to one of the equations or a spouse. Surah Nisa mentions how the wealth will be distributed if a parent or a spouse of the deceased is to get a share.
There is also an online Islamic inheritance calculator which I found helpful to double check my math.
Who is My Mahram
This last activity is centered around a female character, but it is not for just an activity for girls. This activity is meant to serve as a conversation starter for the term Mahram. This activity is intended for children, therefore the concept of hijab is used instead of marriage. To download the activity, click HERE.
My personal favorite was the last activity I’ve mentioned, My Mahram. Please share in the comments below which activities your kids have enjoyed the most.

You and everything that I have seen on your website is AWESOME!!!
May Allah put loads of barakah in your time and intelligence.
And use all of this as a sadqa e jaria for you.
May Allah bless you children,
Duas coming out from my heart for your hard work.
❤️️💖Ameen. Jazak Allah Khair for the kind duas. ❤️️💖
